Day 18, Miracles Do Happen, Really...

Now isn't that a face to start the day with??? Obviously Adam is here.

About Miracles... Well my sister and my two nieces went to see High School Musical live on Wednesday night, and they were waiting in a not so nice part of town late at night for their ride home. Lots of people not so nice and homeless too were all around. They get home and my niece Autumn says she can't find her purse, it had her cashed paycheck, her drivers permit, her SS card, her bankcard and her passport in it. She knows she had it when they left the arena. Uh Oh, it was a 20 minute drive to get home, so my sister and Autumn drive back to the curb they were waiting on, in a record 10 minutes and when they were one block from the corner my sister could see the purse sitting on the curb plain as day. Somehow God made that purse invisible to the hundreds of people that were walking around that area, not a thing was missing not even a penny. Yep it was a true miracle.

Speaking of miracles I finished the intarsia version of the shamrock. Here is the picture of the front and the back, I think it looks pretty good, and it was a little easier this time around.

Ok, let's move onto the contest for today.

As most of you know I am in a Cocoa swap and well I forgot there was a topic of the week, so I am going to answer the topic of the week and if you would like to answer this question as well, it will earn you another entry in this weeks contest. So here it is...

Now that we're in the thick of 'Winter'... has your knitting changed to match the season? Are you moving on from dishcloths, and tank tops to afghans, hats and mittens? Has your yarn changed from silk or cotton to wool, super wash or heavier cottons?

Here's my response...

Actually my knitting habits haven't changed this winter. I don't have any afghans in the works right now and I am still focused on these dishcloths (knitting and designing) and hopefully moving onto socks real soon. But normally I would be working on an afghan in the cold of winter. I made a ton of hats and scarves in December though, maybe I winterized myself out, lol.

Okay then, now that that is done... I better get to playing with Adam, he is being so patient.

Oh one last thing, I am less then 100 hits away from reaching the 10,000 mark. How cool is that? I wonder if it will happen today.

Have a great day everyone and remember our God is a God who works miracles everyday.
Oh and my thumb is fine. Thank you Jesus.

Wow, I can't believe the purse was still there. That's definitely a miracle.
You are getting good at intarsia. The back is even neat!
I don't think my habits have changed much either. I'm knitting pretty much the same all year.
Good Luck on the 10,000 mark!
Hugs!

That is so wonderful that the purse was still there and everything in it.....
My crafting has not changed with the season....I am doing as I always do, what ever hits me is what I am working on....May it be an afghan, pet blanket, cloths, or purse...I have to flow with my mood, and hopefully my mood will see me through to completion of what ever I am working on (unfortunatly my sisters afghan has taken a back burner, just lost all UMPH to work on it...Maybe I can get in the mood to pick it back up today)
Have a blessed day with Adam...

Definately a miracle about the purse.

Please pray for my sister, Amy. One I posted for on blog. She's not answering her phone and I've been calling and calling since yesterday afternoon. She's severely depressed. She emailed me and asked for pray that God would put her babies suffering on her so they wouldn't have to suffer anymore. I haven't heard from her since.

My knitting is still mostly dishcloths and burpcloths, but started working on a baby afghan for my ds' friend. It's pink/red so it's prolly going to be a boy baby. LOL!

ENJOY your day with Adam and give him some extra hugs and smooches for me. OK?

Thanks.
HUGS

The girls are home, and I'm grumpy this morning....grrrrrrr.

Gotta love the modern day miracle. No other option.

Yarn habits changing? Yeah, some. I'm working on an afghan, that's NOT a summer project. I do a few heavy wool things, and the obligatory hats/scarves/mittens for the family/self. But then, there is always the year 'round favorites. Some call it summer knitting, I just call it portable!! Gotta have portable!

Pray tell, what time did that cutie pie get up? With Papa?

I don't think my knitting has changed to match the season, since I've mostly been working on small projects anyway - wool, yes, but socks and mittens rather than afghans.

Very nice shamrock. And you couldn't find the currlers pattern? It is here:

Anyway on to the contest:

I recently moved to FLORIDA. I isn't winter, it is NEVER winter. it might get a little chilly but please, cold?!? not existant. So no, I haven't changed my style/yarn or anything, in fact., i keep waiting for it to get cold and keep wanting to make a nice sweater but then it hits me that I would NEVER wear it or need it and I get depressed. Who knew I would miss the dramatic climate changes of Kansas?

I also would have to say my knitting hasn't changed due to the season. I am knitting a woolen hat but that is because my recipient lives in Ct., I'm still knitting dishcloths and lace.

Hugs!!!
