Monday- Walking With Dinosaurs

Monday's Contest Question:
When was the last time you paid to see a show or concert? What was it and was it worth your money? Post your comment in the comment section to receive an entry for today in the June contest.

My husband works part time in security at our arena for concerts and shows etc. This past week was "Walking with the Dinosaurs" They were true to life size and he said it was an amazing show. He got to see it 5 times.

I wanted to bring Adam but the cheapest seats were $31 each and I think that's too much money. Maybe next time, maybe.
And here's a self portrait taken with the I-Phone of my new hair color. I am not very good at self portraits, lol.

I have been cleaning again today. Got the bathroom re-organized and ended up with three bags of garbage from there, I was amazed. I'll be glad when this is all done and I can start knitting again.

Well Adam is here today and tomorrow so I am going to go play with him and make some dinner for everyone. Have a great night everyone and sweet dreams.

the last show I paid for my husband and I went and saw Audioslave. I absolutely love Chris Cornell from the first time I heard him in Soundgarden. It was cool we had nosebleed seats and Chris Cornell personally invited us to come down to lower seats so we got to sit stage left and it was awesome we were so close.

I used to work at Madison Square Garden, used to hear (and sometimes see) all the shows.
Last show I paid for---ehhh.. Does it count when I worked as a ticket broker and received dead seats for free? If not, probably a concert in the 90's!

Love your hair color!
The last show I paid to see was a couple of years ago when we were in NYC. My sister and I got half price tickets to A Chorus Line - for $60! Not something I would do on a regular basis - but a once every 10 years thing is okay! Now - tickets for a Red Sox game - that's another thing!

It has been years since I paid to see a show or concert. I did go with a friend to Cleveland Orchestra performances almost two years ago. She has a subscription and her husband had died earlier in the year, so we went to a couple of performances together. She has since moved to Dallas.

For Christmas 2006, we went to see The Trans-Siberian Orchestra show. Super fabulous and worth every penny.

I used to take my kids to plays and such at community theatres but even those are getting priced out of the market.

I can't remember the last time I paid for tickets for anything. And I agree that $31 is a lot to go watch a show! Seems pretty cool though.

Love the hair color. You were smart to get it done a week before you left. Now it has time to "settle" so to speak, LOL.

Have fun cleaning. I still can't get motivated beyond the very basic necessities, and sometimes even then it suffers. You sound like you're on a roll. Keep it up!

good pic! Hmm, the last show we saw would have been a Toadies concert last fall. I think it cost us about 50$ for the 2 tickets (which i traded a hot towel caddy to the girl i work with for the tickets) and the concert was worth it. Aside from the fact that there were 3 opening bands and standing room only (oh my feet!) It was well worth it.

Hubby and grandkids have seen Walking With Dinosaurs twice now...they loved it. We are going to see Spam-A-Lot next week. Dont go to concerts anymore - I like listening to the groups I pay to see and not the spectators who so often are louder than the groups (grumpier and grumpier with old age) but we go to plays and musicals alot.

Wow...that's crazy! Last time I paid to see a concert was REO Speedwagon and Night Ranger for Kenny's Birthday with his mom. It was fun and the tickets were reasonably prices. I don't normally pay for shows either. :)

Your new hair color looks great on you.

It's been such a long time, I can't remember the last show I went to. Definitely before DD was born. It might have been when Margaret Cho performed in SF, when was that? 1999? OMG, that was a decade ago!!!!
