Saturday- Strawberries, Singing and Swaps

Saturday Strawberries are breakfast... well that and cheese balls... hey it can't all be healthy, LOL. Adam has already had a PINT of these sweet fruits... he loves Strawberries.

I said Adam if you eat too many you are going to have a "hot" belly, that's what he says when he has to go to the bathroom, lol. He said " What? Nana... I don't!!!"
I can't believe how fast he is learning all these complicated songs on NOGGIN, especially these Lazy Town songs... I have a good song memory and I can't even get these words. Yep it's official Adam is a genius. LOL

I received a swap package in the mail this week. From the WhoDuKnit group, we are having a yard sale swap ($10.00 limit) well whoever had me (She remained anonymous) is moving soon so she sent my package out early... (August 31st is the mailing deadline)

LOOK AT WHAT I GOT!!!!!
A binder filled with patterns all inside plastic protector sheets, what a wonderful idea.
Two mystery books to read, 3 American Indian note cards, a bookmark, a journal with a matching bookmark (little did she know I use these exact journals to write down my original patterns before I type them on the computer, I like to have backup, lol) a 2008 knitting calendar with patterns on each day and she got it for $1.00, what a great find. Some KnitPicks gloss yarn in the color Dusk, (hmm any ideas on what I can make with this, it's beautiful) and knitted felted bracelet kit... it's the neatest thing. I am going to make it for my niece Hannah, her birthday is this week and it will be my gift to her. Just perfect timing, if you ask me.

I tell you it sure looks like it's worth more then $10.00... I hope I can find as many good deals for my swap partner when I finally start looking.

So there you go...

Strawberries
Singing
and
Swaps

I should add Socks to the title too as I hope to get to those socks today too... but I am not too hopeful about that. I guess I'll save the socks for Sunday.

Remember even though there is no contest stuff over the weekend, all comments still count so make sure to leave one today and tomorrow if you want another chance at the Knitters Gadget Jackpot prize.

See you on the flip side.

Great package of goodies that you received! How about a pair of fingerless gloves with that KP Gloss yarn? I would!!

I had strawberries this week and they were yummy!! Now I have peaches and cantaloupe!! Does Adam like them?

Kids can always remember things they like. Sounds like he's really enjoying Noggin!

Went with my friend shopping today. I got 4 hrs of walking in today doing that!! Not saying we walked fast, but we walked ane walked and walked, (well, you get the idea right?) I'm tired!! Stopped at Applebee's for lunch and ate from the WW menu!

Enjoy your weekend!

Wow, what a good swap package! I love yard sales..half the stuff in the basement is from them..giggles.

Strawberries rule! Um, a close second behind blackberries in the berry world, anyways.

It is scary how fast they grow up! My girl is 16 and can get her license this week (already has the bug in the driveway) and next week i also need to go even more in debt buying all her college text books for fall semester! Where the heck did the time go!

What a fantastic swap! You know since we returned to the mainland i have yet to adapt to yardsales again, they have them on fridays here. ???

WOW!! What a great surprise you received in the mail today!! Top that with spending time with Adam, and you've got it made!!

Strawberries--they look delicious, smell delicious, but unfortunately I break out in hives from them :(

Coach--no, you don't know Coach, I don't know Coach, my daughter doesn't even know Coach. She just thought the pic was funny, and now he stares at me while I sleep or don't sleep!).

What a fun swap package!

The strawberries are done here (we don't have the everbearing kind), but we just got local blueberries for the first time this year.
