Well here we are in the final stretches of the two month long contest. Hard to believe we only have this week and next week left. Guess we can all spend the extra time on our hands making red scarves for the orphans, right? If you missed that blog post this weekend go check out Saturdays blog
I truly believe that one person can make a difference, one person can move a mountain, one rock at a time. I believe in all of you.
We have a WINNER from last weeks contest. It was poster #5 as chosen from the Random Number Generator
So Congratulations to SMARIEK Please send me an email via AOL or on Ravelry with your mailing address and I will get the needle holder sent directly to you.
This weeks prize is a set of handmade stitch markers made by a friend of mine. She doesn't have a blog yet or an ETSY store but she is on Ravelry and you can find her here, her name is Patti.
Here is a picture of some of the sets of stitch markers she has made... one of these will belong to the WINNER of this weeks contest.
So let's get on with Monday's Contest Assignment
Usually I just ask you all to tell us what you have been working on all week, we want to celebrate your victories and medals too for you Ravelolympic knitletes. But this week I am also asking a question... Have you ever won a contest? More then one?
To get an entry for this weeks contest simply make a comment on what you've been doing, or answer the question, or heck just say congrats to Marie... by the way if you don't know Marie you should check out her blog, she has some awesome free patterns she has designed there.
That's it everyone... leave a comment and who knows that very comment might be the random chosen number, you just never know.
Water therapy for me today, more Adam hugs and a sink full of dishes are what await me right now. Then I can think about reading my new mystery novel and finishing some more squares.
Ok now I am ready for coffee... see you on Tuesday

Mat 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this [which is done] to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

My accomplishments last week:
Got to the finish line in the bag-n-tote backstroke on Ravelympics.
Finished my squares for Close Knit Hugs.
Started a scarf for the Red Scarf project.
Finished the cable headband to go with the cable scarf - first Christmas gift finished.
Read two books - 24 Hours by Greg Iles and Lifeuard by james Patterson.
Do I cook? No
Do I do housework? No
I knit and read - LOL
Whoops - forgot to answer the question - have I ever won a contest. YES!
I won one of your contests! Also won a project contest on Knit with the Classics last year.
I finished one of the two projects I am working on for the Ravolympics and made great headway on the second (even though one of my kids pulled the needles out of the sock I was working on).
I have actually had pretty good luck winning things. I have a project on the needles right not that is using some yarn I won. I love learning about knitting contests because I have found some great blogs that way.
Working hard on all my projects. And crazy enough, I cast on for fingerless mitts. Yep, I am crazy.
I'm going to do the Red Scarf Project as well as make a scarf for the Special Olympics (Using RH delft blue.
I have won a few contests, but those were due to my persistence rather than luck. I can never seem to win one where a random number is drawn. Heck, if I was 2 out of 3, the other one would get picked.
But if the contest is first one done, best colors, whatever, I can win that if I put my mind to it.
Good morning!!!
I finished the bag (and am happy with the felting . . . I felted it some more) for Ravelympics.
We spent the weekend visiting. Seriously visiting so I got to spend time with my sisters and brother and some of their kids and my kids and also with friends and some of their kids. It was great.
I have won a couple of contests, apple pie (best in fair for our local county fair) and pound cake.
I have been working on my son's sweater since the beginning of the Olympics (I'm almost to the neckline of the back).
I have been lucky enough to have won a couple of blog contests in the past (I love getting packages)!
Hi Kathy!!
I've been working on swap projects this week, and I'm finally finished!! YEAH!!
Now, I'm going to go back to those socks that Miles demolished for me and also I have a baby blanket to make for a friend of my daughter. I have known this young girl since she was 3, so I consider her one of my own! I'm so excited--a grandchild--and it's a boy!!
Contests--I've won one of your contests--beautiful stitch markers and felted roses that I have in a vase in my bedroom. And stitch markers always come in handy, especially pretty ones!!
And today--today I received a prize I won from dvvs--that contest was on Yarn Miracle along with the Dish Rag Tag--beautiful sock yarn, a darning needle and a special solution to wash socks in.
I'll post pics of it on my blog tonight!!
Have a wonderful rest of the day!!
Congrats to Marie!!!!
Beth
Accomplishments??? Good question.
Sock put done.
About half the squares for CKH made.
I MADE IT THROUGH THE FAIR, and NOONE was harmed. I didn't even go chase the kids or the parents of the kids who barked in my window. AND I didn't confront them when I saw them AT THE FAIR.
Did I mention that I MADE IT THROUGH THE FAIR.
She did a great job on those stitch markers.
My biggest accoplishment was to make it through today...(with no tears shed, yet)...I have wond contests...lets see, I think the number is up to 5......
Hope you had a wonderful day and thank you so very much for all the prayers...
Hugs..........
Congrats to Marie- I have made several of her cloths!
This week, I made a baby sweater and started a felt bag!
All my focus has been on my Anouk (from knitty spring.. 2006 I think) and trying to get it *just right*.
I have never won a blog contest, and it's been quite a while since I've won anything esle - I think I won a door prize - but does that count?
