Monday- Hmm Maybe I Read That Wrong?? LOL

Here is the cartoon I meant to post yesterday. I forgot, but I think it's worthy of a Monday Morning laugh.

OK First things first. let's reveal the winner of last weeks contest prize. The Random Number Generator out of the 97 comments last week chose comment number 53. Comment #53 was made on Thursday by MLJ1954.

If you can contact me via email (gimpykatk at AOL) or Raverly (also gimpykatk) so I can get your mailing information I will send you those awesome stitch markers. I liked them so much I even got a set for myself, LOL.

Now onto this weeks contest...

MONDAY IS REFLECTION/CONFESSION/MEMORY DAY

So my friends, what have you been up to this week? Did you finish all the Ravelolympic projects? Did you clean out your stash or add to it? Have you started making gifts for Christmas? Tell us, inquiring minds want to know.

Just post a comment to receive an entry today for the final contest week. Any old comment counts so there is no reason not to enter. Out of the 8 weeks so far the most comments received in a single week was 112, maybe we can beat that total this final week.

And with this weeks prize being another chance at the small project bag from Bea's ETSY store again, I know we will have quite a turn out.

Of course the actual pattern and color of the bag will be your choice and based on the available bags left in her ETSY shop. If you haven't been there to check out her bags you might want to pop over there. I highly recommend it.

I guess that's about it for me today. Adam is still here, but he will stay with Daddy today while I go to therapy. Last Friday I did 14 laps, I am going to aim for 16 or 18 laps today. If I can do 18 that will be 1/2 a mile. yeah, I can do it, heck it has to be easier then sticking a needle through a camels eye, or it that the other way around, LOL?

Lets see I made some kitchen sponges to sell at a craft sale on Oct. 4..need to make more stuff, but only after I finish the second felted bag. I also this morning made a chemo hat for friends to give to her friend, one more to do...No stash enhancement here, infact I am sending out some cotton to my grandma in Maryland, so that she can add some dish cloths to her Christmas gifts of cochet topped towels and pot holders. Hope you have a wonderful day. It is beautiful here, nice and cool low humidity, so maybe I will crochet outside today...

I haven't had a lot of time for knitting this past week. I'm about halfway through a sock, but other than that I've been too busy.

I finished both of my Ravlympics projects. I did add a single skien of white Pattons to my stash. I am playing around with some Kool-aid dying. My mom wants some wild and bright socks for her birthday and I am working on figuring out how to make my own self striping yarn.

Hey. I've been a busy girl this past weekend. I knitted up 2.5 dishcloths. I worked on one fingerless glove. I'm still working on the thumb gusset, so it's been interesting. I started 2 of 3 handmade RAK's. And searched for fun patterns for my secret pal exchange. I saw the little needle book that I want to make...
Great job on the laps in the pool.

I did finish two of my Ravelympics projects. Both of them were mindless knits but the biggest problem is the heat we have been having. Seriously, who wants to knit when its 92 degrees in the shade! Sitting still is hot!

Hi Kathy!!

I finished two more bookmarks to put on Etsy, and I'm determined to finish those socks that Miles demolished!! I restarted them over the weekend and have just the first heel flap finished.

Also, working on a baby blanket for my daughters' friend whose baby shower is in October.

Oh, I sat down and wrote a list of all the things I want to make for Christmas presents, and I think I must be crazy!! What was the name of that doctor you went to? I think I need to see him ASAP!!

Congratulations to the winner of the stitch markers!! They are real beauties!!

And congratulations to you on your swimming progress!! I'm so proud of you for doing this!! It's hard work and you're doing such a wonderful job!

I finished 1 scarf and 4 dishcloths for Ravelympics. I failed on the WIPs Wrestling scarf which I might have finished if Miss M hadn't gotten sick over the weekend.

Congratulations MaryLynn!
Let's see - my accomplishments last week: I finished my red scarf for the red scarf project, started working on a Clementine shawl, which I've been wanting to do for a long time, worked on the Whoduknit mystery KAL - one more clue to go. Started a new book. I think I did some laundry and maybe even cooked a meal or two, but I'm not sure!

Lovely bags!
Well, I finished my ravelympics entry just sliding in under the wire. I was very pleased with that! I made legwarmers for my 8 month old who wore them to go 'horseriding' yesterday (she sat on the horse and patted him while I held on tight!)

I decided this week to leave my comfort zone of socks. I am making a shawl for the secretary of the school that I work at.

I too finished my raveloympics pattern just under the wire - now I'm putting off blocking it! Does that mean disqualifcation after the fact?
