Anyway in honor of our anniversary my dear husband bought me a can on NUTS. OK I have to admit I LOVE cashews. They are my favorite, those and pistachios. Sweet of him right? NO NO NO, does he not know I am working towards a goal and I am 3 pounds away from reaching it. Tuesday is the deadline... if I open this can I will eat it all. NO self control. I know me to well.
He also gave me a card. Now we rarely exchange cards, too expensive, but he seemed to really like this one. As you can see the sentiments were really nice.
Holding Hands
Sharing Dreams
Taking Nice Walks
Openly Talking about Feelings
Enjoying Time Together
Going Out to Dinner
Watching a Ballet (OK neither of us would really enjoy this one, lol)
Taking Time to Relax
And Recalling How We Met (someday maybe I'll tell that story, it's a doosey, lol)
But he saw none of these things... what he saw was this..................
Now I am flattered that even with the weight I am he still thinks that way, unfortunately I can't get past my weight issues. These are soon to fade... Just a short time away.
Now when I do get to my goal weight and back to work and can save money for a vacation, this is where I will be going... Can we say a FANTASY POOL???
If you like doing laps in the swimming pool, you might want to stock up on the energy drinks before diving in to this one.
It is more than 1,000 yards long, covers 20 acres, had a 115ft deep end and holds 66 million gallons of water.
Here is the link to the article... (I got the pictures in an email though)
Yeah... one day I am going to visit this pool. Wanna come with me?
Until then Adam and I will continue to enjoy our BIG POOL at the YMCA.
I am having a stressful evening. I was accused of something I did not do and I want to fight but I do nothing without God's direction. So I sit and pray and wait. I know He will either give me clear direction on what to do next or He will handle the whole thing himself. I am praying it's the latter.
Sweet dreams all, I am off to find some myself.

Happy Anniversary! You obviously made the right decision.
If you're worried about those cashews..just send them this way. They are my favorite...I'll take care of that temptation for ya. :P
I hope that your stress is worked out soon...can't even imagine that someone would accuse you. You are much too sweet a person to have to deal with something like that. People are so crazy!
Hugs!
LOVE that card!!!!! What a hoot! And nuts work great, but yeah, get to your weight first and then open the can. Unfortunately, I understand all too well. *hugs* and Happy Happy once again to you and "Uncle" Kathy.
:)
I hope you had a Happy Anniversary! That card is so funny!! As for the nuts--you know men--they just don't think sometimes. He's probably thinking to himself, "Well, know. I know that Kathy loves cashews, so this will be a good present for her."
He just didn't think ahead. Keep the lid on it! You've come so far, you don't want to give in to a few nuts, do you?
Ahhh...that pool--I can imagine just floating around in there, doing and thinking nothing for a change! But, I know that I couldn't even swim a lap in your and Adam's BIG POOL, much less that one.
As for someone accusing you of something--I'm hoping for the latter, too. That God will take care of it for you.
Have a wonderful rest of the day--I'm off to work.

Happy Anniversary! Your hubby is cute!!
Happy Anniversary! My hubby and I celebrated our 28 anniversary in April . . . our first date was December 21 and we got married in April . . . there must have been something in the air in 1980!!
Don't open the nuts. Hide them. Put them in the trunk of your car. Under the tire. Someplace where you will have to absolutely go nuts trying to get to them. I want to have surgery too but my insurance company currently won't cover it. The moment they change, I will sign up. Right now, its Weight Watchers for me.
Oh, and I'll join you at that pool.
That was so sweet...even though he did have only one thing on his mind :) Put the nuts away...they'll keep and later on as a reward for all your hard work you'll be able to to treat yourself with them in small quantities. Your self control will improve ---you'll see :)
Oh, Happy Anniversary!! What a sweet hubby. Men see past the fat into the real you, he still sees the woman he married and fell in love with 17 years ago! I know, because my hubby feels the same way. Maybe we can trade stories someday...
That pool is awesome !! Wow, I will go with you!!
You have my prayers for your situation. You are right to wait on God, He is so amazing. Our car broke down for the last time, and God came through without us even asking! But He knew we needed a car, and God does provide. But you still have my prayers since it seems so hard to wait and we want to try and fix things ourselves.
Have a good day today!
I totally understand how you feel about the weight issue! It's hard to feel sexy! Congratulations on your 28 years! That is awesome!
I"ll join you in the pool in a couple of years!
Sounds like your instincts were right 28 years ago! Happy Anniversary!
I saw that pool a while ago and have fantasised about it since!
Happy Anniversary! You were a child bride!!! How wonderful that you are still 'nuts' about each other...a very rare things these days. Maybe there are diamonds in that can! But I wouldn't take a chance if I were you - just send it along to me LOL.
Happy Anniversary! I love the card! Eat one handful of the nuts and give the rest to your hubby or son to hide. Or just send them to me...
The stress, don't let it get you down, it will all work itself out, the truth always prevails. It may take time but it will.
Happy Anniversary. I hope all works out well with the situation you are going through. DO NOT open the nuts. You are doing so well and don't want to jeopardise anything.
Awww Congrats to you both!! 28 years is amazing! Maybe in 25 years I'll be able to say the same about my BF and I! We've only got 3 years (dating long distanct), but I was 17 at the time too.
Kathy, I'm so glad for you and your husband--still in love!! My husband I got married when we were 16 and 18, and we have been married for 42 years now. If not for God's love and guidance, we woudln't have met, and God is so good to us.
You're so right to wait for guidance in your problem, but HE will give you the right answers!! Obviously you KNOW that. In the beginning of the summer, my husband and I started having a devotional time every night together, always with Bible reading. Although we both read sepatately, it has brought such ajoy to both of us. I love the versse you use in your header, too; God DID knit us together in the womb--and so I don't have to tell you where my political sentimments fall!
God bless yoU!
