Day One of Adam's Life in Reflection

These were the pictures from Birth through the first 3 days. He was born 11 weeks early and weighed just 3 pounds. He was in the hospital for about a month before he was able to come home. At this point he was being fed by a tube and on oxygen. But he was a strong boy, still is... I can't wait to share more about his life these past three years.

Do you think I am a proud Grandma or something???

So how was everyones day yesterday? Mine was good. Church was good. I got a quick trim of the dead end on my hair at church too. I wish I was brave enough to go with a shorter style, my hair is so dry and unhealthy it needs to be chopped off and re-grown. {{{sigh}}} I am scared to go short, I did once and every morning when I woke up and looked in the mirror I cried, I looked like a boy. That was in 1990 and I have never gone short again.

I knitted two dishcloths last night, I think I will make enough of these to give to the families at church at Christmas time, it's the fan and feather pattern, which is so super easy and very pretty too. I made the small version, and I think I will get 3 or 4 from one ball of cotton, can't beat that.

For the winners of the August contest... I have your packages ready to mail... just waiting for postage, I didn't plan properly. It should be out sometime this week, and MaryAnn that package I have had for you for well over a month now will also go out. I haven't forgotten, really. I look at it everyday, it sits there with the squares I need to mail to Victory Junction Gang and the 4 completed afghans for Close Knit Hugs.

Well I just finished breakfast and I am off to finish my POGO badges, then maybe I will try to match those socks... what's the hold up anyway? I like matching socks, but I like knitting better, LOL

See everyone tomorrow, maybe after the week of Adam bragging I can start thinking about an October contest. But I'll still post daily, you never know what I might have waiting here for you. LOL

May the Lord bless you today in all you do.

Good morning Kathy. OH MY!!! how tiny he was. I am amazed at what medicine can do now. Thank God for His miracles.
I'm using the feather and fan pattern for dishcloths too but am making 12 ripples before I cast off. I guess I'm wasting a lot of yarn. I thought that anything smaller than that would be too skimpy to give as gifts. Shows you what I know...LOL...
Have a great day and happy knitting :)

love it, love it, love it. I've always THOUGHT about doing feather and fan, but I've never gotten around to it. Craziness. Have to get some of the other planned stuff out of the way first. Geez, I'd forgotten how small Adam was!!! Amazing.
