Day 30, August is almost over

Good Morning my friends

Well I can't believe there is only today and tomorrow left for August. This was surely one way to pass a long hot summer month by quickly and also a good way to get me used to blogging on a more regular basis.

Yesterday my mom hired a 16 year old girl to come and help me get some things cleaned in the house since I have been so sick. She was here for about 4 hours and my bathroom looks fabulous. I don't think I want any men in this house taking a shower now that the tub is so clean, LOL

I think she is coming back today and we are going to tackle the kitchen.

Adam is still here so I can't type a lot this morning, he already spied that I was online and wants to come up on the desk and play his games. But he loves it, and I love him so it's all good with me.

My cartoon caption for yesterday might have been:

Ida, in her knitting zone, never even noticed the change in the yarn as she worked up her favorite sock pattern, and Fifi was baffeled at how cold it was getting suddenly.

Todays contest assignment...

IF I WERE TO DO ANOTHER CONTEST IN THE FUTURE DO YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS OR THEMES, IDEAS ETC. ON WHAT I SHOULD DO? IE: A WEEKLY CONTEST, A SCAVENGER HUNT, QUESTIONS, RIDDLES ETC? I'D LOVE TO HEAR YOUR IDEAS.

ENTER YOUR THOUGHTS IN THE COMMENT SECTION AND GET ANOTHER ENTRY INTO THE AUGUST CONTEST.

Well I guess that's about it for me right now.

Oh don't forget to take the poll it's only open for the week.

See everyone tomorrow

Aunt Kathy

Hmm......A scavenger hunt sounds good, but I could not probably do that...it would take too much time out of my day, with the kids and all. So I guess I am not much help this time around.

a scavenger hunt would be interesting... I loved the variety of stuff you did this time... it was fun and you never knew what to expect the next day! I loved it and think you did a great job. I loved having something to look forward to each day when I got up... or after work before I went to bed!! Some kind of weekly project or focus would be cool also. I think it was a smashing success!!

I don't think I'd like a scavenger hunt. I spend more time than I want to now online. lol

I loved what you did this time, but I know it took a lot of your time. So you could cut it back to weekly to save yourself some work. I've enjoyed coming every day to see what's new, but you're the one who has to do it all. I couldn't do that, so if you want to make it weekly that's fine with me.

Hope you're feeling better.

Hi Kathy,

Wow! Day 30!!!

I am so glad that you are getting some much-deserved
help at your house!

As for your question for today, I actually thought
this contest was perfect! You are so creative that I
know you don't need my suggestions! But, how about
more riddles? I loved them (even though I missed most
of the right answers!).

Take care,

A scavenger hunt would be very nice but I know I wouldn't have the time to participate..I really enjoyed this months contest and was able to join in when my internet connection worked for me..dial up sux...but it's better than none. I am DEFINITELY not complaining. LOL...I have to say that when I could get through it was so much fun to see what you had dreamed up for us that day..

I thought what you did was really fun. I loved reading everyones comments and getting to know the ones who played. I thought your riddles were fun also. You seem like a very fun person and I am going to be sorry to see this come to an end. It made my day being able to get online and coming to your site. Any thing you'd choose to do I know I would join in.

I love scavenger hunts....how about periodically a week long one with a hint per day? That way even those of us who need extra help have a change. Love this month's contest, just for the mere fact of "getting to know you" moments with everyone here......I just like the active participation you are bringing out in everyone. How about a square or dishcloth competition. Each one sent to you by a certain date to donate to a given charity gets a chance to win, oh whatever, and you know I'll be more than glad to help with the prizes. I just love the interaction that's been happening!
