Wednesday- What's That Noise?

Well I fell asleep and just woke up and remembered I hadn't blogged. So let's see if I can do this and make sense.
This is my son Jim, in the garage making a film of him playing the drums for 2 hours straight for an art presentation at school. No wonder I am tired today, listening to drums for hours, LOL

CONTEST STUFF:
Do you play an instrument? What kind? If you don;t have you ever wanted to? Will you ever learn or do you think it's too long and you can't teach an old dog a new trick? Post your comment today and receive another entry in this final contest week.
~

This is how much I got done on my sock yesterday. Never even picked up the needles today at all. Maybe tomorrow.

And I received a prize I won over on Darcy's blog last month. It's a coffee mug and I LOVE it. Speaking of Darcy's blog, she has another contest over there, and my buddy Patt is supplying the prize, go over and check it out, you might just win.
~
Have a wonderful sleep, I know I need one. Sweet dreams.

That's a cool picture of your son. He's very handsome!

I played the cornet in marching band my freshman year of high school. I then gave it up, 'cause I hated marching in the heat in those scratchy uniforms. That, and I was too lazy to practice. ;-Þ

You've started a sock, hooray!

I play the piano, but not much lately because I've been knitting. Started piano in 1998.

I've just spent the evening bemoaning the fact that my guitar skills are lame, but I need them for this weekend!

I can play two lines of "Music is for girls and boys" with one hand on the piano, but my mom wouldn't let me go any more because it was too far for me to go alone to the YMCA.

I play the piano. My daughter plays the violin. She keeps telling me that she is going to teach me. But, I have short stubby fingers (which was a problem with the piano), I cannot imagine how hard the stubs will be on the violin.

Your son is cute.

Congrats on winning. What a cool prize.

By the way, I started liquids on Tuesday. I have a headache.

All I can say is that you are an excellent mother to let your son bang away for two whole hours!! I hope he appreciates you.
I don't really play an instrument, though I had dreams of rocking the guitar. I still have the guitar, just no skill to play it.

I was in the band in High School... for marching band i danced, for symphonic band I played the Bassoon (which i taught myself), for pep band i played the flute (which i taught myself) and the alto sax (my first wind instrument learned in 5th grade), for Jazz II i played the piano (my mom taught me how to play when i was in 2nd grade), and for Jazz I i played the Tenor Sax... those were the fun days! :) Now i'm lucky if i have time to sit down to the piano and play for a few minutes...
Your socks are looking good! ;) And I can totally relate on the drum thing... my brother used to have a set (didn't know how to play) so he basically just beat around on them... then my dad made him give them back to whoever they belonged to because none of us could sleep ;) lol
I hope you have a GREAT day!! :D

yay to the sock, cute mug! Lol at the 2 hour drum serenade. Hubby plays bass guitarm daughter piano and keyboards. In my past i have played violin, flute, drums, and guitar. (i dropped the drums after college and still mess with the guitar at times) mostly i seem to get shoved in front of microphones. We have had a band for as long as i can remember and play 80's alternative to current. We all have day jobs, it's just for fun. (but better money for daughter than baby sitting. We have sadly dragged our daughter to quite a few bars,to work of course! smile)

I use to play around on the guitar, mostly folk songs. I always wanted to properly learn how to play the piano. Not counting what I use to pick out by ear. My children All each play at least 2 instruments.

I played accordion as a kid (yes, I'm VERY Italian! LOL), but I've always wanted to play the drums. Mom played piano beautifully and we always had some kind of piano in the house but for some reason she never got lessons for me or tried to teach me. But I got my huge love of music from her.
