The Cravat is done... I actually LIKE it. Not sure if I'll ever wear it, but I do like it.

CONTEST STUFF
Do you wear a bathrobe? Do you have more than one? Why am I asking this question you might be asking? Well my cousin had surgery today and wanted a light bathrobe to wear in the hospital, and her husband went everywhere and NO ONE sold roes outside of winter. Isn't that weird? Post your comment and/or thoughts for your Tuesday entry in this weeks contest.
~
Speaking of hospital, I waited there while my cousin was in surgery and while I waited I knit TWO, yes TWO teeny tiny socks. If I can knit teeny socks I must be able to knit big socks too, right?
Well after a 10 hour day at the hospital, I am beat. Have a great night and sweet dreams.

I have 2 robes and I wear them both, not at the same time tho. lol
Just look at those tiny little socks. That's how I knew I could make socks, I made a couple of tiny ones and then made some toddler ones and now am making some for me. Come on now and cast on for socks!!!
You ROCK!
This is the first time I have read your blog and I had to laugh. My mom ALWAYS kept some nice robes, nighties, slippers, and new panties back to use in case she went to the hospital! I am 56 now and I do the SAME THING! Also, mom kept new panties, bra , and a slip to wear when she had to go the doctor. So to answer your query, yes, I have robes for the hospital!
Blessings, Sarita sboyette@tx.rr.com
i used to but after years in hawaii i really did not need one. I need to get one though as my lovely hoodie sweatshirt is getting a bit holey!
I don't wear a robe, myself, but my husband does. He has a velour robe he wears in the winter months, and a cotton one he wears in the warmer months. I wish I could remember where we got his summer robe. Maybe Sears? Or maybe we ordered it from a catalogue; I cannot remember.
Did you sign up for the Wee Tiny Sock Swap 2009 at Emily's (Yarn Miracle)? Your socks are darling! I love knitting wee socks, as they go so fast!
I have a terry cloth robe that I wear rarely although this winter it saw a bit of use as our bedroom is the coldest room in the house. Most of the time I don't bother especially since we now have a bathroom off of our bedroom.
Three robes! One long fleece (from Sis), one long pink cotton jersey (Victoria's Secret from Sis), and one knee-length cotton jersey, black with pink rosebuds (Macy's).
I would guess that you can find robes at Macy's year round; I bought the black to match some pajamas and a sleep-T (for Crafty Mom weekend!). Probably can find them at Victoria's Secret, too!
The socks are cute. C'mon, what are you waiting for? Cast on. You know you'll like it! (Do I sound like a drug pusher?)
I have robes, I just forget to wear them
I can't believe none could be found. How sad.
LOVE the socks.
You can too make big socks...you just can't believe that you can do it. you goob.
i purchased a new robe after Christmas for 10 dollars, its still folded and tied in the ribbons it was sold with because hot flashes and night sweats preclude wearing anything but the lightest cotton nightgown, and it can't be cotton knit, that sticks!
I have a heavy wintry cotton velour one and three lightweight summery ones with two of those from Walmart. I keep an extra on hand for the grandgals for when they spend the night.
The more robes the better! Keep it cover'd Y'all. ;)
I have a pull over the head robe that I have had for YEARS . . . at least 25. I wear it in the winter. I leave it next to my bed on top of my slippers so that whenever I get up, it is right there. I have a white cotton robe that my daughters got me for Mother's day about five years ago. It has a matching nightgown and had matching slippers. I love it because it is light and billowy and makes me feel very victorian. LOL.
Love the socks. Yes, you can make big socks.
I do not wear a bathrobe but both of my other sisters wear them all the time! :) Those little socks are so cute!! :D I hope you got a good nights' sleep!!
**HUGS**
I have a couple but rarely wear them.
I work in a hospital and a lot of people bring robes to the hospital so I know you can purchase them somewhere. Quite a few of the ladies bring what my grandma called dusters. They are snap front, knee length house dresses. I have seen them in the dollar type stores and at JC Penney.
Hope your friend does well.
I just finished my first pair of socks. If I can knit socks, you can knit socks. They just take wayyyyy longer. Love the little ones.
I am not a robe wearer, but it is true. You can't get a robe unless it's winter. I guess it's ok to roam around in your undies in the summer, LOL.
Those are the cutest socks ever! Got a pattern link?
This definitely means you can make socks!!! Your Cravat is giving me an idea....we'll see if it works!
I have two robes I use for different occasions.
The first is for when I need a ratty robe.
The second is for when I need a REALLY ratty robe.
The End
I have two robes. One is a full length pink robe that Hubz got me from Land's End, I believe. I wear it once in a while. It's VERY warm.
The other one was from Walmart. It's purple and has the Dwarf, Grumpy, all over it. It's my "Grumpy robe" and I wear that most of the time. I feel like it's okay to complain and grump while in that robe. LOL
great work on the socks! congrats! :)
I always wear a robe and have many. Can't say I've looked at or tried to buy one in a very long time!
Love how your cravat turned out. Bet it would be very comfortable to wear. Your mini socks are too cute.
I do have one robe that I've had for years--purple. I don't wear it very often and only in the winter. So, I can't say that I've shopped for one lately.
Those are really cute little socks. Maybe that's what I should do--make little socks before I even try to finish big socks--a feeling of accomplishment!!
And I do know someone who will be needing little socks, just don't know what color yet.
Beth
I have a winter robe and a summer robe - except it never gets warm enough here for the summer robe! I only wear it when I come out of the shower. I think they have them at Penny's and probably at Sears. Maybe even Walmart.
My girls wear robes, I have one- somewhere on the bottom of my closet.
You're kidding! I can't believe you can't find one. I think they sell them year round over here.
Hmm... I do have a robe but haven't used it in a while, prolly because we have a master bathroom connected to our bedroom. And if I need an extra layer for warmth aronud the house or when I get out of bed, I reach for a fleece vest or jacket.
I have a fuzzy pink one my husband got me for my birthday i love it very warm vbarton24 at gmail dot com
