Saturday-Surprised Myself Today

When did Adam grow up to look like such a grown up boy? I still say I am going to bring the Baby home, and gosh he just isn't a baby anymore. {{sigh}} Where does the time go?

Been working on my Cravat today... I even figured out the part where I had to divide stitches and then combine them back again. I was so excited that I did it. That's pretty HUGE for me. So HUGE in fact I think I might even attempt to start a pattern from HERE............

Yep, my Socks From The Toe Up arrived today. I know, I know... I say I am gonna knit socks and then I never do. I really am going to start a pair, maybe as early as Sunday. I am just not saying which Sunday. LOL

It was a long day today, did dishes and laundry, played with Adam, went to my sisters for my Uncle Earls birthday, we ate coldcuts and then played Mexican Dominoes, we just got back a few minutes ago. Adam is already asleep and I am moments behind him.

I hope you all had a wonderful day and have a great night. Sweet dreams.

I should have gotten that sock book instead of the one I have. Maybe I'll see if the library has it...for whenever I can get back to knitting.

You will have to let me know how you like that book. I have been wanting to try toe up socks for awhile now.

The cravat is really going quickly; looking good!

I'm such a top-down sock knitter, but I do need to give that toe-up thing at least one more try...

They grow up way to fast. I'm always referring to my grand-daughter as the baby and she promptly informed me that she is four, not a baby!

Toe up socks are easy. the tricky part is just doing the cast on. You can do it!!
Sounds like you had a full day. We did too. Went to the park, played outside, and my MIL came into town. Fun!!! She made cookies with the kids, and I ate too many. LOL.

They certainly grow up fast! You'll love doing the toe-ups. I'm hooked on them myself once I did one :) The best part - no grafting!!! Happy Sunday :)

They grow up too fast. Just look at his photos from just one year ago and you'll go WOW what a difference! I bet he can describe in detail how to turn on and shut down the computer, as well as where everything plugs in. lol.

I haven't seen that book. I love doing socks toe-up (though I should give cuff-down another chance), they're really not that hard. I find it easier to start the toe-up cast on than to graft a toe. Looking forward to seeing you make socks!

I hope you enjoy Wendy's new book! I actually just ordered Cookie A's book, so I'm sure I'll have new sock inspiration patterns soon!

It's not in the budget for me right now, but I hope to get Wendy's new book soon, too!

Blink once, turn around, and Adam will be asking for the keys to your car. Sigh...they all do it, they grow up on us.

I can't get past the cast-on for toe up socks and can't get past the heel on top down socks . . . LOL!

the cravat looks grand. Good job.
