Greetings from Aunt Kathy's Place. Believe me today you DON'T want to be here in my shoes. I'll start off with the good news first... LOL
I finished making another snake scarf yesterday, and I made a matching hat. I posted the link to this scarf before but here it is again, super easy to make... the pattern is easy to follow except it had several errors in it, but they were easy to recognise and correct as you knitted.

Now the beanie hat is a pattern I got emailed to me last night from Wendy... so Wendy I of course had to crochet it right up to see how it worked. I found no errors in the pattern and it was easy to follow. I used a contrast color for the FP HDC, and BP HDC but other then that I changed nothing. It worked up fast too. Here is a picture of it. If anyone is interested in the pattern I am guessing Wendy will have it on her blog maybe?
You wouldn't believe the dishes my son just brought down from his bedroom. He honestly needed one of those HUGE storage totes to carry them down, there is more then one whole dishwasher load there. I now know where all my glasses, plates and silverware had disappeared to. If I want to eat something these days I am washing it from the sink first cause it's the only fork and plate I can find. My other son was the same way, very frustrating. This is when I wish I had an empty nest...I can't believe I am about to show this to you... but this is what he brought down to me this morning, please send all sympathy cards to me at...

I'm a hat! And I feel your pain about the dish situation. I have two boys at home and they do the same thing. I try to remember to send them in their room every few days to gather up the stuff or it would pile up so high. It must be a boy thing since my girls dont' do this. Please don't get lost in all those dishes...we would miss you! Hugs!
You're a hat!! I'm very thankful that my dd doesnt' do that! Once in awhile she'll leave a glass or an empty bottle in her room. Her father would never let her get away with what your son did! He has a fit if there's anything left in there.
I went to my craft club this morning, but didn't really feel like doing anything. It's been raining all morning, and I really didn't feel like working on the scarf I started yesterday. I think I'll end up ripping it out and start something else. It's just one of those days!
I found an N hook and tried out the Melody Patons yarn last night. I ended up quiting because my hand was sore from putting the afghan together. So I just ended up sitting and watching tv.
I thought I had 15 needles for that yarn, but I only have short needles. I don't know what kind of afghan I'd make knitting anyway! lol
See you tomorrow.
You're a hat! ;-)
Love how the hat and snake came out! ;-) I have the snake on my christmas knits list... ;-)
Hope those dishes don't take too long... Madge.. I hadn't thought of her in gosh... years!
I'm a hat!! YEA! Good riddle. that stuff, with the dished, would not fly in our house, no matter how old we were and even less tolerated when we were older. We may be cluttle bugs, but we are not gonna dishes sit in your room... ah, my mom's favorite(or least favorite) quote from when I was living at home... ha ha.... Good luck with the dishes... maybe he should have to do them all, since he hoarded them!!!!
I'm a hat........Ya my first success of "writting" a pattern.. I can make stuff up all the time and write it for me to understand, but the hat was my first for others to undrstand. I guess I really should put the pattern on my blog, shouldn't I. That will have to be later along with the picture that we had taken today, because now I am off again, for dinner with my parents. Have a great day......
I'm a hat!!! Now for the dish situation...hum. My sons did the same when they were home-just not as bad in one time situations. Now they have moved out-finally our middle som move out again-with his intended. They were worse than ever to leave dishes in their room, the living room-anywhere-but with age He has grown up. He would load and unload the dishwasher to do dishes. He would even cook-although he dirtied up twice as many dishes-but he was an excellant cook. We are empty nesters and love it. It is harder on us to have our children move home than to become empty nesters to begin with. Have a great day
God's Blessings,
Jil
I'm a scarf! What the heck. I have to be different.
All I have to say is I'm right there with you.
I guess I'm living at 456 Sad St. Does that make us neighbors?
Hey Kathy and her visitors, I just changed my blog. Take a look and let me know what you think of it.
I like it a lot better than what I had before.
I am a hat - my girls do the dishes thing too but not quite that bad - it doesn't bother me as much as it does my husband. I will pray for your hands tonight. I really liked the hat. I read something about a snake, what is it for? Just for fun?
Of course a hat!! Thanks for giving us the rhyming riddles.
I agree with Melanie - like the drinking milk from the carton, putting an empty (or almost) container back in the fridge or cupboard, etc, etc.
Same thing here - I have to "hoard" a fork, plate, etc., so I can eat!
Hope the new Doctor works out for Adam - big hugs,
Its gotta be a hat.... Just thinking of that makes me feel like I sat but I didn't.. I just knit, knit, knit until I was forced to quit due to it being bed time.
I'm guessing "hat."
Those dish photos make me feel not-so-bad about keeping two glasses in my room at the same time (one for my bedside table, one for my desk... yes, sometimes I am that lazy).
You would have to be a hat.
btw I love the hat to match your snake scarf
Lynda
A hat! Though I do like the scarf answer someone posted! hehe
