Monday Day 22
Well, it's Monday... do I hear a cheer from the crowd? Woo Hoo it's Monday, a new week, a new beginning, a new day to... whatever!!! No I didn't take a happy pill or anything, I just decided it's mind over matter right? Declare it's a good day, and look for the good in it and, it WILL be a good day, right? Take every thought captive.
Yesterday, after church I think I slept most of the day. I had the race going in the background and woke up every few laps to see who was winning, but basically stayed in bed all afternoon. When I finally sat up I tried to make a dolphin animal (see above pictures)it came out OK, the yarn was a little thin though but it's cute, bigger then I wanted. I might make another one in black and white, like Shamu. My sister thinks these will make cute gifts for my little nieces (8 years old and under)and we can get baskets or some type of container to put them in, maybe a little tank for Shamu and Flipper, lol. I love making Christmas gifts but this year I am struggling. Can't decide on what I want to do, I want it to be something different.
Ok onto the contest assignment...
LET'S HAVE A LITTLE POLL TODAY... SINCE I HAVE CHRISTMAS GIFTS ON MY MIND, LET'S SEE WHAT'S ON YOUR MIND ABOUT THIS SUBJECT.
WHERE DO YOU STAND ON HOLIDAY GIFT MAKING THIS YEAR?
1- I AM ALL FINISHED, EVEN WRAPPED THEM ALL
2- I HAVE STARTED MOST AND FINISHED A FEW
3- I MADE THE LIST, AND HAVE THE YARN... DOES THAT COUNT?
4- LOOKS LIKE IT'S GOING TO BE A CARD AND MONEY THIS YEAR, SIGH
POST YOUR POLL ANSWER IN THE COMMENT SECTION TODAY AND EARN ANOTHER ENTRY IN THE OCTOBER CONTEST FOR THE MYSTERY PRIZE.
I had fun making up that poll, LOL. I have nick names for each answer too, I bet you can imagine what they are of even think of a few yourself, LOL.
Oh by the way DH made it home fine yesterday, no deer or bear. I think he might go back next weekend too. It's riffle season up North though so at least he wasn't only out there with a Bow and Arrow.
I have several phone calls to make this morning, I need to go online and process our medical insurance choices for next year, order oxygen, pay car insurance, make a deposit... the list is endless. Ahh it's Monday, woo hoo. {{{smile}}}

I made the list and have the yarn, does that count????? I have been so busy with charity crafting, that my Christmas thoughts just keep getting put on the sidelines. Not much longer though, I will just have a couple WIP one for charity and one for Christmas. Instead of both for charity.
Have a great day........
I'm like Wendy. I've made a list and have some of the yarn. I've been trying to get something done for Little Fuzzies, so my Christmas stuff is behind. Plus I made the afghan for Becca's friend.
The lavender afghan that I'm making is supposed to be for my friend, if it turns out the way I hope. I plan on making cute golf club covers for Becca's bf. They look like old men with hat's and mustashes. LOL
Well, now I need to go finish my laundry. Then I can rest. I'm still tired from my active weekend!
Dh watched the race, and I sort of watched it. I was just not into it that much this week. I think it was because I was tired.
Thanks everyone for visiting my blog. It's great hearing from all of you!
I'm #2... I have a few gifts completed and more on the needles... I've been balancing with charity squares for wendy. So Im glad I started early and tried to be ready to go!! YEA! we'll see if I can keep it up.
I just got an email that a super good friend of mine from College is an uncle for the first time and his sister has made me an honorary aunt!!! (the only other sister was killed in a car accident last summer, so i am extremely honored...) Made me cry... so now I need to get her baby blanket sent!! :) YEA!!
I'm almost a 2...I have the list made and have started on a few. I even have a few finished but still a long way to go. I'm sure I will have to make a trip to get the more yarn to finish (gotta have the right colors).
Hugs!
I hate to admit it, but the closest answer to mine is currently #4. I'm the baker in the family, and in light of how much time and effort that takes I don't usually give non-baked gifts to anyone except my immediate family. I'll probably have time to knit something for my mom and maybe for my dad, and my brother just bought a house so I'm waiting for a list of things he needs that I could make or buy.
I like the dolphin.
Christmas? Yeah, okay. Right. I'm on top of that one.
I have the yarn, ideas in my head, patterns at the ready --- does that count?
Kathy, I know i"m a little late... but I wanted to answer your question...
I've bought the yarn, made the list (I actually do have a few 'mostly' finished..).. I'm a bit behind where I wanted to be right now, but am way ahead of where I was last year! :-)
I'd have to say I have a bunch started and some are finished but I now have tendinitis in my should and it hurts to move it.
Needless to say there's no knitting in my future for a bit. whaaaaaa
