Day 4 of the October contest

(This was Jim and me at the train station when he left for Chicago)

Hello,

Yesterday was my oldest son Jim's birthday. He turned 25. He is in Chicago so I didn't get to see him, but I did send him a cool Hallmark E-card. He of course hasn't opened it yet, but I sent it.

I didn't get to call him yesterday, it was a crazy day for me. I went to the DR and of course got the usual... lose weight and we don't know what's wrong with you. See you later. Geez I just wish I could find a DR that thinks I have a chance of getting healthy again, you know? My next scheduled appt is the 31st of this month so, he will see if I have improved by then.

LOVED LOVED LOVED your photo captions. In case you were wondering about Kadezmom's (Shelly)... my sister Dayna had a bag of yarn my mom bought for me, and she lost it. About 5 weeks later she found it in the frig... hahahahahahaha... behind the crisper drawer. It was too funny.

Well we are on Day 4 only 27 days left for the contest... lol time is flying by so fast.

I thought I'd take a little mini poll today for our contest assignment. Feel free to comment on your poll choice when you post it, ok?

THURSDAY'S CONTEST POLL

HOW MANY HOURS A DAY DO YOU SPEND KNITTING OR CROCHETING?
(DOESN'T HAVE TO BE ALL AT ONCE, JUST IN THE SAME DAY)

1- ABOUT AN HOUR OR SO, THERE'S TOO MUCH OTHER CHORES TO BE DONE

2- I'D SAY BETWEEN 2 AND 3 HOURS, I PLAN FOR THIS RELAXING TIME

3- WORKING ON GIFTS ETC SO 4 HOURS OR MORE IF I CAN, I HAVE A HUGE LIST TO COMPLETE

4- LET'S JUST SAY IF I AM AWAKE I AM PROBABLY WORKING WITH YARN. LOL

ENTER YOUR POLL ANSWER IN THE COMMENT SECTION, AND FEEL FREE TO ELABORATE IF YOU LIKE. A COMMENT WILL EARN YOU AN ENTRY FOR THE PRIZE AWARDED AT THE END OF THE MONTH.

I guess that's all I really have, oh wait, I finished my new pattern, I like it, I think it could have been tweaked a little, but I am not re-doing it. I am a perfectionist, though, so maybe I will. No I am not re-doing it... grrr... I have been arguing this for almost a day now, you know what this means? I am going to re-do it. No I am not.

I better get off of here now before I drive myself crazy. Besides I am awake and I don't have yarn in my hands, guess you know my poll answer now, LOL.

Was getting a little worried when You had not posted yet this morning.........Yes don't you just love doctors, if you re over weight it is lose weight, if you smoke it is quit smoking, and if you drink it is stop drinking.....What ever it is they will be sure to come to the conclussion that all your problems are stemmed from that.

By the way, My answer is Number 4. Even if I have to put it down a zillion times during the day, because of the kids or house, it is still always with or by me and usually in my hands.
Have a great day...........

Kathy,

I'm thrilled that you're here. I was also worried that something was really wrong when you hadn't yet posted... I'm so sorry about the Dr.... I wish there was somethign I could do... I'd offer to be your eating coach if that would help..

My answer is #1 or #2 depending on the day... i wish it was #4 though!

I hope you're feeling better soon - it's always disappointing when nobody can figure out what's wrong.

For your poll, I guess 1 would be the closest to my answer. It's really more like 0.5 most days, though (except for weekends). I don't have a lot of time to knit on days that I have classes.

Grr...dr's are so frustrating. I'm so sorry you got the usual run-around.

My answer is somewhere between 3 and 4...if I'm not knitting then I'm thinking about knitting or kicking around pattern ideas in my head.

Hope you get to feeling better soon. Big Hugs!

Ack. I haven't answered yet today. Ummmmm, on a good day 3 hrs. On a great day, more, and on a not so good day, much less! (really awful, no good, very bad day is NONE!)

Kathy,
Still sending prayers your way that you start feeling healthy soon!

In my fantasy life, my answer would be #4! In reality it is more like #1. Sometimes on the weekend though, I can sneak in a bit more yarn time.

Take Care!

Due to my insane job, most days it's currently ZERO - however, only 9 months before I'm retired, so then I go for #4 (but then it will be summer - not good times for knitting)

Sorry you're not getting support from your health care givers - is there anyone who can go with you, for support and to remind them of their purpose - to GIVE CARE for HEALTH?

Do take care

I'd have to say #1 or #2. With work and the kids sports they keep me hopping.

I too would rather like to have put #4 down! If I am at the in-laws than that applies as I can concentrate on me and my yarn!

Need Something to Read??? Say GimpyKatK sent you.
