Tuesday, but it feels liek a Monday

Is anyone else mixed up after the holiday weekend? I can't get my mind around the fact that it's Tuesday already.

Maybe it's all the humidity here in NY. I can't breathe. I actually went to bed at 10pm last night, I had to. I figured maybe if I was asleep I'd forget that I was so uncomfortable. Of course I sleep with a CPAP mask, and that just kept sliding all over my face making me feel even hotter. Grrr This guy looks like he is sleeping so peacefully, lol

Believe me if I was sure I wouldn't die in my sleep last night I would have gone without.

OK enough complaining I know there are others much worse off then me, I really am blessed and need to act that way.

Let's move onto CONTEST STUFF shall we?

Tuesday is learn or try or talk about a NEW stitch day

My sister just came over, she brought me some left overs from her BBQ yesterday and a grapefruit for breakfast. Thank God for Dayna. But she has a bite on her neck, probably a spider bite, It's swollen and hurts but not red. I told her to take some Benedryl. I researched a little about spider bites and this fact came to my attention...
"Spider bites – these are the largest type of bite, often creating a large, raised, circular area with a visible pinpoint bite mark in the middle. They can grow in size and redness for several days, and tend to be quite painful. They can number from just one to 5 or 10, often in a straight line or confined to one body area. Spiders often travel across a body part at night, snacking along the way. The initial bite is often painful, but not always."
EWEEE...YIKES... EWEEE... Snacking along the way. God help me, we get lot's of spiders in this house.

I'd throw up a picture of a spider here , but NO. Can't bear to look at one. Eweeeee

Guess that's it for me. I am going to go research how to keep spiders out of the house now. Gosh they are even in King's palaces... is there any escape?

Pro 30:28 The spider taketh hold with her hands, and is in kings' palaces.

i remember that east coast humidity and believe me that is the ONE thing i have not missed since i moved westward in 1994! My mom is heading out here for a visit next week and is ready for a break already even though it is still may.
I have heard that vinegar or rubbing seasoning salt into the spider bites help with the itch and heal it faster. I don't know though, lol, sounds more itchy to me!

I shall indeed try the stitch - I'm about to start a stack of bibs for a friend, and I intend to do them as cloths with straps, all in different stitches!
Thanks!

I am getting ready to try the stitch right now...I am crossing my fingers everytime I get on the computer..I expect to not have internet any time now...so if you do not hear from me, it is because they shut me off for lack of payment.

How interesting that I have an aunt Kathy who also uses a CPAP. She can't knit a stitch though and lives far south of you.

the pattern stitch of the week sounds like fun. Will give it a try and see how it looks. One can never have too many random stitch pattern washcloths, right?

oh that stitch would make a great scarf or dishcloth. So much knitting, so little time!

That looks like very interesting stitch - I'm enjoying trying out these new stitches and getting dishcloths knit at the same time - so great for gifts.
