Find Time For Friends Friday

Wow it's Friday already? How did that happen?

I ended up not letting Adam come yesterday, I really wasn't feeling good. I think i am a little better today so he should be dropped off here shortly.

I didn't knit a thing yesterday. Just couldn't wrap my brain around it. I HATE being sick. I do plan on knitting today and through the weekend though. I have to finish the surprise part of this weeks contest prize.

Speaking of contest stuff... below you will see a couple pictures of what I do with my scrap yarn, the pieces range from 2" and longer of pieces of left over yarn tied together and wrapped into a ball, then I make these crocheted hot pads out of them. it's worked in the round so all the tied end just disappear inside, no end tucking needed, can it get any easier then that? Nope.

They come out with such random color schemes, no two are exactly alike and they are double thick to keep the table tops safe from those hot dishes. I love making these.

Now onto today's CONTEST STUFF.

It's search my friends blogs day...

See who posted this picture on their blog and tell me who you thought it was in the comment section. Of course while there read the blog too, you might find some fun and interesting stuff there and hopefully a new blog friend as well.

Even if you don't have time to blog hop leave a comment anyway, that's really all you have to do to get the entry in the final week of the May contest. Of course I will still count any comments made over the weekend and Monday I will announce the winner. I hope it's YOU. Wait it probably will be YOU, look at that I am psychic, or psycho, whatever.

Well so far the paperback swap is pretty great. They do also swap hard cover and audio books too. I listed 27 books and have already sent out 3 and ordered 1.

Good news though I cleaned off the bookshelf behind my bed and now I have a place to put the laptop when I settle down for the night. This is the real bonus.

I am thinking maybe Adam and I will go to the park today, the weather seems to be pretty nice so far. And Lord knows I can use the exercise.

The Dr's keep telling me to get in touch with my body. Mine isn't all that communicative but I heard from it the other day after I said, "Body, how'd you like to go to the nine o'clock vigorous toning class?" Clear as a bell my body said, "Listen, dummy, do it and you DIE."

Have a great day everyone.

I have no idea who left that picture on their blog. I've even looked and can't find it!! But, it's a cool picture regardless!!

And, I love your hot pads--I wouldn't mind knowing how to make them. You know--I have tons of scrap yarn and they could be put to good use.

Exercise and I--we tend to be not very friendly with each other. I'm going to start trying though as soon I am able--getting the doctor's go ahead, that is!!

Have a wonderful day!!

I'll have to blog hop to find that photo...clueless as of now.

I love those hotpads! I would have to figure out how to knit them though...still can't do the crochet thing. I love the random colors.

That psychic/psycho comment really cracked me up and I'm pretty sure I would get the same answer from my body if I asked it that question. My body says I just need to sit home and knit....that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :P

Hugs!

I found it....yippee...the picture is from "Muddy Paw Knits" blog.....I have to go back and check it out further and finish the rest of the hopping (you just had to get me started, didn't you, now I will never get anything done) I was checking out the Lanyards and thinking I really need something like that, but not for a badge, but to hold my glasses...That way I do not have to set them down when I get up, instead I could just leave them dangling on my neck....
I have the pattern for the hot pads, but have yet to make any. I guess I just may have to give it a try...Hey they would even make some nice double cloths...
Hope you had a great day...

I love those hot pads!

Nine o'clock can be early for exercise. Some years I've gotten in the habit of getting up early for work, but I don't think I'd choose a class then.
