Just Hanging Around

Wow it's 12:30am already, I should be asleep. Guess I shouldn't be surprised since I was in bed until 9am this morning. Huh?

I have been working on those Balloon squares that Melanie designed for the VJG blanket and I am on the last one, then a few crocheted checkered flag and the blanket will be ready to sew together, maybe even before the weekend starts. Melanie, I love this cloth by the way, don't get me wrong. This I think will be my favorite VJG blanket of all. Wait till you all see how it comes out.

I did take a quick break this morning to crochet a new project. It was a fast work up and I LOVE it. A friend gave me the idea, I revised it a little and made my own version.

This is what I started with

Then after a few minutes this was what I had.

Add a towel (I know it's a Christmas towel but it was all I had in my stash) and Wala a handmade towel holder for the kitchen or the bathroom.

Adam might be here tomorrow but not until a little later as he has another dentist appointment. They have all over the news about a local dentist and the mistreatment of the small children there. It's a dental office geared towards small children too. I sure hope that is not where they are taking Adam.

Did anyone watch CSI tonight? I think they played mind tricks on us. they were all suffering from a cold and I found myself sneezing all through the show. Coincidence? I think not.

I have a headache tonight, right in my left temple. Is that the thinking side of the brain or the creative side? Maybe that would explain a few things, LOL.

Oh I added another contest to the sidebar... this one is for a $25.00 gift certificate from Loopy Ewe (I think I got that right) anyway it's on her blog so go check it out.

I'll be back tomorrow, hopefully with a finished afghan, wouldn't that be awesome?

And remember don;t just thank God because it's Friday, thank Him for everyday. For everyday is a blessing and a miracle and an new opportunity.

AK
Psa 26:7 That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

Oh, I wanna see...I wanna see!!! Don't forget to take a photo. I have a few squares I did back when we had the group...I need to send those to you. Email me your address and I'll get them in the mail next week. It's only a few but they're doing nobody any good sitting around here.
Making afghan squares is the main reason I really want to learn to crochet...it would go so much quicker. I haven't given up on my Tawashi...just haven't had time to get back to trying yet...but I will.
I love that towel holder...that's something I would definitely want to try! I could sure use those.

About the camera...I highly recommend Kodak...love my camera!!!

Hugs!

I love the towel holder! I really need to learn to crochet.
I tried to watch CSI, but the picture quality was so horrible I couldn't follow.

I am glad I did not get to watch CSI, I have been sneezing enough on my own, without the influence of tv....I love the towel holder and have seen a couple out there, and want to try them...did you just cut out the lid into a circle?
Have a wonderful day and I can not wait to see the newest afghan.
Big Hugs

Oh yes, Brooke's glasses are in so we will be going to get them shortley...Pictures to come.

Very creative towel holder and I bet the towel wouldn't end up on the floor. Very nice :)....so many possibilities, too :)
