January's Contest is up and running.
A little different then my past two, I will have multiple winners this month as I will be drawing a winner on a weekly basis. I am very excited about this.
Below is a picture of the first prize to be won.
Prize for week one, is my dishcloth in a bag…(small knitted hand bag pattern available at http://chezplum.com/patterns/isabeau-purse/ filled with a skein of cotton yarn and an original dishcloth pattern designed by me. Which by the way I still have to design, LOL. Good thing I have a week to do it in, plenty of time, LOL.)
Just ignore the needle sticking out of the bag, I was just seeing how much could actually fit in there, LOL.
Okay so to enter in the contest today this is what I am asking from you...
Tuesday- Poll:
New years resolutions:
1- Do you make them every year but tend to forget them by February?
2- Do you make them and follow through with at least one?
3- Do you even know what a resolution is?
Post your answer to the poll in the comment section along with your Resolutions for 2008 and earn an entry in the contest for week one.
Resolution- definition for those who chose option 3…
Noun: finding a solution to a problem, a decision to do something or to behave in a certain manner.
===========================
There you go, I am so excited about some of the upcoming things I will be blogging for your entertainment. I think I may even hit my 10,000th hit during this contest as well. I am still amazed that so many people have viewed my page.
Well it's 2:20am here in NY and I better go to bed before I figure I might as well just stay up for the day, that would not be good.
I think the excitement of having a contest again has me all wound up.
HAPPY NEW YEAR

The bag is so cute...I can't wait to get a few made for gifts.
As for the contest...to be honest, I normally don't make resolutions as I tend to either forget about them or just give up. This year my resolution is to knit more! It's the only one I could think of that I can actually stick with. lol
I'll be posting a link on my blog for ya...we'll get you to that 10,000 mark.
Happy New Year!
Hugs!
Happy New Year Kathy! :-) great idea for the contest... and I'm a #2.. I make resolutions and tend to follow through on most... though I try to remind myself that the things I'm resolving to do are often difficult, I'm human, and therefore give myself a bit of slack as I try to work on the issue! :-)
This year's resolutions
1. Work harder on our budget
2. Lose the 16 pounds I found
3. Decrease my caffeine intake
4. Knit myself some items for once!
Not too difficult, and actually probably similar to most other's resolutions.. :-)
No Resloutions here....Never have, because everyone I know that ever made them only broke them, so I figure why make a resolution to break it.... Just like I am not one to make promises, because promises can be broken...Instead I just say "I will try"
Later I will be posting some gorgeous white, snowy pictures that greated me this morning to help with the fresh start to hopefully a great New Year....
Neat idea -- dishcloth in a bag! Adam is so adorable!
I am usually a No 2, but two years ago I make a resolution to quit smoking and actually followed through. That surprised everyone not to mention me!!!
This year I resolve to
1. Keep my Type 2 in control without meds.
2. Loose a few pounds.
3. Learn a new knitting technique.
Take care and best of luck getting to the 10,000 mark.

Happy New AK!!! I hope this year is one of your best, with lots of knitterly/crochet time.
I tend to vow to do things throughout the year. I generally keep them, some might take longer than others, like when I stopped smoking.
Hugs!!!!
Hmmm did my first comment not come through?
Okay here goes. Wishing you a very happy New Year AK and may this year be very blessed with lots of knitterly/crochet time.
I tend to do resolutions throughout the year. I keep most of them, even though some might take longer than others. Such as when I stopped smoking.
Hugs!!!
I don't tend to make resolutions anymore because I've always forgotten about them in the past.
Have a happy new year!
What a lovely little bag!
1 - I rarely make them, so there's nothing to forget! This year, though, I'm making some, and I blogged about them on Tea Leaves.
2 - I made one last year, to learn to knit socks, and I did, indeed, follow through!
3 - I do...
I usually make and forget them way before Feb. However, I tend to do the "try" thing.
This year.....I want to complete the couch to 5k program. Everyone keeps saying how wonderful running is.....and I just don't get it. If I don't get it by the time I do this, then I never will. I have a few other minor ones, but it's the usual, get the eating and spending under control, have a cleaner house, blah, blah, blah.
Love the bag my dear.
Happy New Year!
I tend to be a #1, but this year all my resolutions are knitting ones, so maybe I'll be able to do them.
Knit every day
Finish 2 projects a month
Learn to knit socks
Work on Christmas projects all year long
Happy New Year

I usually follow through with one. THis year, my big one is to see family more. My mom has back surgery tomorrow and I'm scared to death. She is so strong and I hate to see her in so much pain. My resolution is to spend quality time with family!
I think I've only made 1 new years resolution in my life and yes...nothing became of it. I usually make resolutions whenever I see that something needs fixing with me. I also believe that the success rate is the same no matter what time of year. The last resolution I made was just a few months ago. I vowed to try to become more informed on Business/Industry happenings as well as more politically informed. I've been acting on it by watch all the news channels all day Fridays (I'm hoping I'll grow to like it and will become inspired to watch it on other days.)
Knitting related goals - are very light...again I'm just adding them to my ravelry queue as I find them. But I know I want to make myself a Deep-V vest this year.
