Haven't blogged in awhile
I haven't blogged in awhile and thought I'd pop on... I guess this is mostly just for my thoughts, but I don't mind sharing if you happen to be reading.
I have alot of weight to lose, and am hoping to keep my hands busy knitting and crocheting instead of eating. it's working. I am starting to lose again, and today in the beautiful sunshine weather I even took a walk outside. This is huge for me, as I am on oxygen 24/7 and walking is very hard. I actually liked it, was not out of breath and think I may walk again tonight before dark.
I am currently working on the baby bobble crochet afghan, and almosr done with a 12 square Christian based afghan. Both are gifts.
I also have a few dish cloth patterns I want to make and a few pattern ideas I want to create.
I hope to have more pictures in the future and patterns to share.

The Preemie Sweater
Well here is the sweater I am making... this crocheted so fast. I am baffled though, I think it needs a collar and I am not sure how to add one. I decided not to use buttons and just added a tie string.
I also started a new afghan, it's a Bobble Baby blanket, I am only 3 rows in but I am loving the pattern. it's from Bernet, it was on the inside of their label.
This is what happens when I sort through patterns, I suddenly have the urge to try several different orojects, not like I already had a zillion I need to do.,
Oh well, it's all good.
Finished the Raffle project
Well this is the finished project for the purse, matching belt and cell phone holder. My mom is going to donate them to a raffle that a womans retreat is having this weekend. I used the ticker tape yarn, it's so easy to work with and I like how it looks. The colors are pretty bright and funky but I like them. I have also done up several dishcloths that she can also donate. 4 of them are of my own pattern vreations.
Tosay I started organizing some of my patterns by putting the sheets of paper inside the plastic sleeves. Next I need to get a 3 ring binder.
A friend of mine just became a grandmother and I am going to now work on a sweater set and an afghan for the baby. The baby was born only 24 weeks old and weighs just over a pound. With my grandson also being a preemie I just have a special place in my heart for those precious babies.
I am almost done with the sweater, I am using a doll pattern, I will post pictures as I get further along.
Also in my current project you will see the garterlac dishcloth. I decided last night I had to try it. Now normally this would appear to be too complicated for me, but I did it. I plan on making several more of these, what a fun pattern to do. I got the pattern off of a blog here is the link: http://criminyjickets.blogspot.com/2006/07/garterlac-dishcloth.html
I can't believe this pattern was created by a man, how in the world did someone ever think up a design like this and then a way to stitch it? I am amazed.

Shelly's Heart
Well here it is... my second pattern creation. I titled this one Shelly's Heart, as it was my friend Shelly who saw this vision and I just brought it to the needles for her. I used size 3 bamboo needles and a red Sugar and Creme cotton yarn. Making these patterns is getting easier and I am so wanting to make more and more. Burt alas other things keep getting in the way like laundry, dishes, cooking, sleeping... Grrr I am itching to make more and more. LOL The nerve of people wanting to eat in my house out of a clean dish, while wearing clothes, imagaine that...

Happy Easter
Well I handed out all my Three Crosses dishcloths, to my sisters, mom, niece and ladies in church. I had enough and even was asked by some to get a few more too.
My mom has asked me to make a Hobo Purse like the one I have pictured in my current project section, except I am using a different yarn. I am using the ticker tape Modea yarn same color I used in the belt I pictured here last month. She also wants a belt and matching cell phone case and I need them all done before the 21st.
We had a nice Easter, we ate at my sisters and I worked a little on the purse but after dinner we played Mexican Dominoes. I am tired and was going to work on it a little but instead I think I am going to bed and start fresh tomorrow.
I still have 2 blankets to sew together and I need to type up the patterns for the Purple Hearts, and I may do a third version as well, where the middle heart is filled in instead of the outside and indise hearts. Seems like I am always making three versions of everything, LOL... Oh well it's good practice right?

PURPLE HEARTS
Well here they are... My initial vision was the foirst cloth to the left, It's three heart's all inside of each other, however I thought it was too hard to notice the pattern so I revised it to the cloth on the left, still 3 hearts but I filled in 2 of the three hearts. I am titiling this pattern... Purple Hearts
Oddly enough they are both done with the same yarn, yet the color looks different, I posted 2 of the revised pattern as I put a little decoration on one of them, I saw some posted somewhere like that and liked the idea.
My grandson went home tonight... he got some ABC blocks you know the wooded ones, and he loved thim, He was stacking them taller then he was and then laughing as they fell down. It was all in all a great weekend. I think I have enough dishcloths done to hand out, and tomorrow is the day.
Now I can focus on some other things for awhile.
My mom has asked me to make a matching purse, belt and cell phone cover for a raffel item she needs to bring for her church... that is next on my to do list.

Inbetween Dishcloth
Well my box of yarn came today... 69 balls of 100% cotton yarn in solids and varrigated colors. The deal I got from Amazon.com was .40 a ball, couldn't pass that up. This cloth to the right is actually a wine color and is stunning. my camera for some reason has it's own color memory, lol. Anyway I took a break from my three crosses I only need 8 more by Sunday, I better get moving... to make this pattern. It is a birthday gift for a friend of mine at church, the cross in the heart is a perfect description of what I see when I look at her. I can only hope that people can see Jesus in me when they look at me some day too. The pattern came from http://harvestmoondesigns.blogspot.com/ and there are some special messages attached and many other patterns both free and for sale. If you have some time go check them out, they are awesome.

April has begun
Well I saw a new pattern today for an Empty Tomb and since this is Easter week I had to try it out. The creator of the pattern didn't have a picture so I was not sure of the final view until it was finished. As you can see from my pictures I wasn't sure which side was the front or back, so I took the photo both ways. It took a few times before I was really sure what I was looking at. I had a time taking the pictures too, my camera batteries were dead. I found 2 batteries on my desk, only to find they were also dead. I took them out and put them back in again hoping they might ressurect themselves, no luck. I ended up taking the batteries out of my mouse, taking the pictures and then putting the batteries back in the mouse so I could upload them. It wa sa comedy of errors for sure.
Any way I am tierd and think I am ready to try to get some sleep. I am progressing on my 3 crosses dishcloths, I have 18 completed out of 30 anf a week to go. I also have 3 panels completed for the baby blanket I am knitting. Photos will follow when that is complete.
One last thing... I did sign up on Flicker... and got my pattern and photo on there but I can't figure out how to link it to this blog... anyone out there if you can help me, I would be so grateful.
Hope no one tricked you yesterday...
